The entire process of living in Zimbabwe is somewhat of a risk at the moment, so you may imagine that there would be little affinity for visiting Zimbabwe’s casinos. In fact, it seems to be operating the opposite way, with the critical market conditions leading to a greater eagerness to bet, to try and discover a quick win, a way out of the situation.

For nearly all of the people living on the tiny nearby earnings, there are two popular forms of gaming, the state lottery and Zimbet. Just as with almost everywhere else on the planet, there is a state lottery where the odds of hitting are surprisingly tiny, but then the winnings are also unbelievably high. It’s been said by economists who understand the situation that the lion’s share do not purchase a ticket with a real belief of hitting. Zimbet is built on either the national or the UK football divisions and involves predicting the outcomes of future games.

Zimbabwe’s gambling halls, on the other shoe, pander to the incredibly rich of the society and tourists. Until a short time ago, there was a considerably substantial sightseeing industry, centered on safaris and trips to Victoria Falls. The market collapse and connected violence have cut into this market.

Among Zimbabwe’s gambling dens, there are two in the capital, Harare, the Carribea Bay Resort and Casino, which has five gaming tables and slot machines, and the Plumtree gambling den, which has only slots. The Zambesi Valley Hotel and Entertainment Center in Kariba also has just one armed bandits. Mutare contains the Monclair Hotel and Casino and the Leopard Rock Hotel and Casino, both of which have table games, one armed bandits and video machines, and Victoria Falls has the Elephant Hills Hotel and Casino and the Makasa Sun Hotel and Casino, the two of which has video poker machines and table games.

In addition to Zimbabwe’s casinos and the aforestated alluded to lottery and Zimbet (which is considerably like a pools system), there is a total of two horse racing complexes in the country: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the 2nd city) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.

Given that the economy has diminished by beyond 40 percent in the past few years and with the connected deprivation and bloodshed that has arisen, it is not understood how well the vacationing business which supports Zimbabwe’s gambling halls will do in the next few years. How many of the casinos will be alive until conditions get better is merely not known.
